Project: Pirin National Park management plan, Bulgaria, 2001-2003

Description of project:
The Pirin NP management plan is specialized plan for: nature protection and landscape protection, balanced uses of the recreation capacities and natural resources of the territory and turning the protected areas into a socio – economic factor for regional development. The contents and structure of the management plan comply with the Ordinance on the elaboration of management plans and the general European standards for planning protected areas.
The programs and projects are defined with the goal of establishing a wide support for the park, as well as motivating a responsible and nature-conservation behavior of the park’s users. |
Project: Conception for information system for Pirin National Park, 2001

Description of project
The major prerequisite for the development of this Concept is the need of a modern information system for the visitors of the Pirin NP, which would answer the various interests of Bulgarian and foreign tourists.
The prime task of the Concept for Information System of Pirin NP is to complement the development and facilitate the management of the Park. |
